[00:00:00] Speaker A: SA. [00:00:28] Speaker B: Welcome to Vital Signs. I'm your host, Jen Gode, and we are here talking about your greatest asset, your health from peak performance through what's between your ears and your mindset recover everything to help you elevate your health and well being. Today, you're in for a treat. We are going to talk with a very dear friend of mine who is a mindset life coach, and we're going to talk about how that mindset shift can change everything for your life. No matter where you are, no matter what financial situation, no matter what health situation, you have the power to make that change and to elevate that. So today I want to dive into how does mindset, an intentional mindset, influence not just our success, but our health and our vitality? Welcome to the show, Pappy Dinuzzo. [00:01:22] Speaker C: Thank you so much for having me. Thank you. [00:01:24] Speaker B: I'm really excited to have this conversation for you because a lot of people watch my show when they think about where they are now and that it's kind of they're stuck. We're just stuck. Maybe we have a health diagnosis and we feel stuck, or maybe we're in a financial situation that we feel is intractable. Single mom working two jobs, can't seem to get ahead. But you came from an interesting story and have proven that that's not the case. [00:01:52] Speaker C: Yes. Thank you so much for that. First of all, I say namaste to you and to your entire audience. And the spirit in me greets the spirit in you. The spirit in me greets the spirit in all of your fellow audience listeners. And yet from where I came from, real humble background, so to speak, you could say, with my grandparents coming from the slums of Naples, Italy, and from the ghettos of Warsaw, Poland, came and worked in the steel mills. I'm born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with nothing. It was really, Jen, that look in my Italian grandma Rose's eye, who only had a third grade education. So this is all about, I just want to get the listeners to think, if they can just think of Think and grow Rich may help to get you there quicker to start off with Think and Grow Rich. And in my book, this is the next generation manifesting that you can imagine, which is available for free. I'll tell you about that in a little bit. But really, whenever I found out and I cracked the code on this, on manifesting through the law of attraction years ago and what I've done with it. And again, none of this is bragging, Jim, but just for context for the audience, it's Sort of like, do as I say or do as I've done. So I like to talk about do as I've done. What I did is I took a wealth practice. After working in a restaurant with my grandparents and my dad in the steel mills for decades and decades, I took a wealth management practice. I started with $0 in 1989 and I grew to over $1 billion as of last year. No murders or anything. So on top, like 1/10 of 1% in the country, out in the middle of nowhere, I'm halfway between Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio. Didn't know anything about writing books, started writing books. I've got six books. Number one, Barnes & Nobles, US International, number five, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, etc. None of this is bragging, but just to let folks know, like, exactly. What I talk about is I eat my own cooking three times, three meals a day, so to speak. So that's how I got here. So I'm just here to help my fellow brothers and sisters. But everything in your life, my fellow brothers and sisters, one of the most common questions I get asked is, pappy, you've turned me on to this. Can you teach me how to manifest. And I say, my fellow brothers and sisters, look around you right now. Every experience in your life, everything around you, your entire reality, you've manifested everything in your life. And if your audience can just open up their mind and just like, just flow with you, and I get in harmony and alignment and flow for like the next half hour and just open up that if you've been at this for 20 years, 40 years, 60 years, 80 years or longer, and you're not satisfied with your grades, what I talk about is health, wealth, happiness, love, relationships, spirituality. If you're not happy with your grades, can you entertain for the next 30 minutes that there might be a different way of doing this, there might be a different way, and you're at a 3D highway or a 5D highway. If you can think it in your mind, you can and will hold it in your hand. I will quote Buddha one time, Buddha said, ages and ages ago, Buddha said, not Papi, Buddha. You will become what you think. You will attract what you feel and you will create what you imagine. So, my fellow brothers and sisters, just open your minds for the next half hour and entertain how powerful you are, that you have access to all knowledge and all power of all time. And your body, as a rule, your mind and your body, mental wellness and physical wellness. Your body and mind must listen. Your body and mind must listen to you. As a role. Absolutely. [00:04:59] Speaker B: Throwing things over. [00:05:00] Speaker C: That's why we're getting wound up. Yeah. We're getting excited. The energy. The energy's flowing. Yeah. [00:05:05] Speaker B: And so as we dive into that, a lot of us have heard, you get what you focus upon. So when we're consuming social media, television, and it's like all this negativity, negativity, negative negativity, we reflect that, we take that in and that becomes our experience. I think about disease, process. You watch it all the things, all the things. And you're in your. Consuming, consuming and screaming, everything's cancer, cancer, cancer. All of a sudden you have cancer. So what we get, what we focus upon, we're already doing that. We're already manifesting that, so to speak. And so why can't we shift that thinking? And so as we dive into this, for everyone who is watching, what is the simplest thing that we can do? Because I know people heard that and they said, okay, I get it, I'm consuming wrong things. Like, I have this negative loop in my brain. What is the first step that I can take to open my mind? Because it's not necessarily the easiest thing to do. [00:06:04] Speaker C: Yeah. The first step is if I can just explain the most powerful diagram. Again, I've been on Earth for seven decades. The most powerful diagram and image that I've ever witnessed is a stick figure of the mind. So folks will talk to me and I'll ask them, what do you think your mind is? And 99% of our fellow brothers and sisters will say, pappy, I think my mind is my brain. So your brain's no more of your mind than your nose or your toes. What your mind is. If you can think of a big circle around my head and a horizontal line through the middle, A C here for conscious mind and SC here for subconscious mind. So you have the top half of the circle, the bowl. In the bottom is the subconscious mind. A little line here and a small circle down here for my body. So your. My mind. All of our 8 billion fellow plus brothers and sisters, your mind is your conscious mind working in harmony with your subconscious mind working in harmony with your body. Now, this bowl creates and delivers 95% of what we have on Earth. Like, 95% of our success comes from here. So it seems like maybe the conscious mind on top is not as important. But to your point, Jen, that you just said is, what's the first thing? So before we can go on offense, we have to play a little bit of defense. Okay. And. And the defense is my fellow brothers and Sisters is protecting your subconscious mind. So again this delivers 95% of what you have on earth. And think of your conscious mind on top of that arc as a shield. Now what do we have attacking your shield? Trying to get in your subconscious mind all day long you've got news, you've got a bad weather report, you've got social media, music on the radio, parents, family members, peers. And the key is when anything negative. So if the audience again could just open their minds up. We're thinking about, open your minds and just imagine you are the king or the queen. You rule your entire kingdom. Your body must, your mind must take action on any suggestions you offer to it. So there was a very famous hall of fame, Neville Goddard. Neville Goddard said that you can manifest anything on earth just to your self talk. So when you pull up to that parking spot and it's a parallel parking spot, you say you, you got a parallel park, say oh, I'm terrible, I'm terrible at this. This is going to be a nightmare. This could be a disaster. It's going to be a nightmare disaster. Your army inside you says hey, the boss, Jen's the boss, she's the queen said this is going to be terrible. So as you said, you'll notice that folks who talk about illness an awful lot have a lot of illness. Now what about successful folks? Entrepreneurs are someone go out there and take a look at successful billionaires, entrepreneurs, whatever it is, or healthy people. They're talking about success an awful lot more. So we, when anything comes to you, I teach a class in Kenya and I ask the students, I say, can you, they're 13, 14, 15 years old. I say, can you please raise your hand if you've ever heard in your life that you will never be successful because you were born and raised in Kenya and unfortunately Jen, every single hand goes up. I say we're over, we're done with that. From this day forward, you cancel it or you reject it. You literally like I say cancel, reject all day long. I say I cancel it. I reject it. I, I refuse to participate. You cannot let that into your subconscious mind because it will begin immediately to work on everything in align with the universe and the vibrations coming out of you and these vibrations, my fellow brothers and sisters coming out of you are the same as you getting a cell phone and think of wherever you hold that and you want to hold it as high as you can. That's how you and I met Jen. Like you're on this vibration, this frequency. I'm here. Somebody says, hey, whatever Bing, your phone's there, and bam. That's why we're sitting here today. But my fellow brothers, just open your mind. You are in control your entire life, your health, your wellness, your mental wellness, your subconscious mind as a role. So auto suggestions is how they're defined. Auto suggestions are suggestions from yourself to yourself. And as you said, whenever we're talking about these things, we've got to be real careful. On a drive over here, I see a billboard. One out of three of you are going to get this. So us human beings start thinking, oh, man. Yeah, I think I'm probably going to get that. Because diabetes. My dad had it or something. My dad died of a heart attack. You see? One of so many. So we got to be very careful. Protect your subconscious mind at all costs. I can't cancel. Reject. Yes. [00:10:02] Speaker B: And it works the other way. [00:10:03] Speaker C: Yes. [00:10:05] Speaker B: I mean, you have two successful people sitting here in this room, and I believe that anything is possible. And if I see a problem, I'm going to solve it. And I may not know how to solve it, but I trust and I know that I will find the right people to bring together to solve said problem. Like, I know that this is the case. And so that's the same thing with our health. We talk about mind over medicine a lot in health. I was in medicine for 20 years, and it's a huge thing. Like when people come in and they're in pain, they're in pain, and they're in pain. Guess what? Chronic pain, the majority of that, it's between your ears. It has nothing to do with a physical, biomechanical falter or whatnot. So it really does. There's a tremendous body of research to what he is speaking about. So I just want to highlight what Poppy gave you at homework to do as your first step, and that's to open your mind. And the next time something negative comes in or you see it, cancel, reject. No, that's not me. Switch it to the positive. What is it that you want? What is who. Who do you want to be and what do you want to attract in your life? And that is with regards to your health, with regards to your wealth, your spirituality, any aspect. Because when we have that positive mindset, when we have that positivity, negative can't live in the same space. And we get what we focus upon. We do have to take a brief break, but stick around. You're not going to want to miss what's next. As we go deeper into this with Poppy. We will be right back. I'm so sorry. [00:11:43] Speaker C: Oh, no, it's fine. [00:12:00] Speaker B: Welcome back to Vital Signs. I am here with Poppy d' Annuzzo, and we are talking about how to live your best life. Spiritually, energetically, practically, health, regardless of your starting point, doesn't matter where you are today. Health isn't just what we eat or how we move. It's how we think. It's what we're bringing in. It's what we believe is possible. And before the break, we were talking about, whenever something negative comes into our awareness, reject it, cancel it. Nope. We're going to shift it to what we want, and we're going to shift that negative mindset to a positive mental attitude, because thoughts become things and we want to create the life that we're having. So I'm going to immediately go and ask you. I mean, you said we can live a fulfilled life no matter where we are right now. That's really hard for a lot of us, unfortunately, to believe sometimes. So what does it really look like to live that vibrant life from the. [00:12:56] Speaker A: Inside out, no matter where we are. [00:12:58] Speaker C: Today, we can live at the universe. Guaranteed me time and time over again, our fellow brothers and sisters, that from wherever you're at, by your own definition, by their own definition, you can go from where you're at to what you would define as prosperity. Living in prosperity. And I was on a call that was doing in Kenya, and a gentleman was. He interrupted about 35, 45 minutes into it. He says, pappy, he said, you've convinced me. I'm going to work on my faith 10x goal as you talk about my big goal, and I'm going to live in prosperity. And I said, well, how are you going to do that, brother? He said, well, Pappy, right now I sleep on a piece of cardboard and I sleep outside. That's my bed. He said, you've inspired me. I now believe that I can find something materially better than a piece of cardboard to sleep on as my bed. And I can find a roof somewhere, even if it's an outdoor pavilion that I won't get thrown out of. So in his. By his definition, Jen, he would list that as he's gone from where he's at to living in prosperity. So it's all about you. Go from $1 to $10, so to speak, then go from 10 to 100 instead of overwhelming yourself. I need to get to a thousand or to ten thousand as far as using a little simple example. But I just love to remind the audience, Jen, that I've been guaranteed time and time Again, that thank goodness for the laws of the universe, Universal laws of the universe, the law of love, the law of balance, law of vibration, law of attraction, which we're talking about today, the law of gratitude, the law of cause and effect, also known as the law of karma and the one that I really love because you and I are optimists. We love growing things. And I remind my fellow brothers and sisters, you came here to further express, expand, increase and grow and create co creation with the source with source energy. So you've got all these tools in your toolbox and I'm trying to help open up and explain them to you, show where they're at and how to work with them. And one of the best pep talks I can give anyone has been guaranteed time and time again. My fellow brothers and sisters, when you see something that you previously would have called a challenge or a problem or an obstacle, it's been guaranteed by the universe that the solution, the answer, is in there every time. So don't freak out, don't get frustrated, don't throw something. Take your time and take a real good look at it. Because under law of increase, this universe goes bump, bump, bump, bump. And when that heartbeat stops for a nanosecond, is it going to continue to go? That might be an obstacle or a challenge or a problem. By your previous language, the answer is in. And the universe says Pappy, your fellow brothers and sisters can find a gold nugget in every time. And sometimes even more exciting than finding a gold nugget because that's how we move forward, that's how we advance, is solving problems and challenges. It's not like a free flowing situation. I say, pappy, they're going to find a gold nugget in there every time. And sometimes they're going to find a diamond. And that's our quantum leap forward. When they find that diamond and you will, my brothers and sisters, I can guarantee the solution is inside of every challenge or problem that you come in contact with. [00:15:44] Speaker B: You know, it's really interesting because we've talked on this show and others often about we learn more from our mistakes than we do from our successes. Sometimes or what we consider failures are actually, I don't call them failures. I was in sports medicine. I work with athletes. We don't take losses, we take learning. [00:16:00] Speaker C: Yeah. Research and development. [00:16:01] Speaker B: There's a W or an L on the scoreboard. W means a win, The L means a learning. So I really love that you've brought this up because literally everything happens for us. It may not Feel like it in the time I've been through some, some challenges myself and some things can be really hard and it's hard to find that gold nugget. So speak to the people who are in that really tough slug of it and they're struggling to find that gold nugget. What can they do when they're in that moment? [00:16:32] Speaker C: When you're in that, my fellow brothers and sisters, just open up your mind that there is potentially I would, I would die suspect, strongly suggest there is another way. And I just think there's one closing thought that just came through and you said that was Thomas Edison. There was a gentleman that interviewed him. He says, Mr. Edison, he said, I just don't understand you. And Thomas Edison said, well, what is it? He said, how can you still even like be in society when you failed so much? And he said, how have I failed? He says, well, on this invention that you created, he said, I went back and look, you had 10,000 tasks that it took to get there. You had 10,000 failures before you succeeded. He said, I never failed one time. That was all the research that was necessary for me to get to the invention I created. So my fellow brothers and sisters, as Jen's been saying, it's just in that mindset and I am here to tell you, you are so close to it. All of our fellow brothers and sisters, this isn't moving mountains or anything. If you can just change your perspective just a little bit and understand that the answer is right in front of you, that it's right there for you. Now, we talked about playing defense earlier. Now if we went and we went and we went to offense. So let's just say we want our brothers and sisters. You said earlier, how are we going to succeed at anything? Winning our day? When do we win our day? Well, if you take a look at it, you win your day in the morning, typically. Because if you win your am, win your morning, you typically can win your day. If you lose it, you typically lose your day. When do we win our morning? When we first wake up in the morning. So your audience, Jen, if you can just start to give gratitude. And gratitude is like the biggest get out of jail free card on earth with the universe. My fellow brother says, I can guarantee you every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And if you are grateful in the moment you wake up, say, I'm grateful for the roof over my head, the clothes on my back and the food on my table, all that positive energy goes up to the fifth dimension or above. And it all Comes back to you. You're going to continue to have a nice roof over your head, clothes on your back and food on your table. You can ask for a nicer car also. You can do these things. Now, the offense that I'm going to describe very quickly is intentions. The power of intentions. Another pep talk, another thing I love. Jenny versus Pappy. No. Let all your fellow brothers and sisters know that every prayer, every intention, every affirmation is heard and action is taken upon that. Now we have to remember also that the universe also says that. And the best answers ever given on a number of affirmations, intentions or prayers or answers that are never given. Because just think of some of the things you asked for. I think some of the big things I asked for in life, I'll be like a month later. Maybe you're like, thank goodness that didn't count too, man. That would have not worked out well. So set these intentions when you first wake up, my fellow brothers and sisters, for whatever it is when you wake up or you're getting ready, even when you first wake up. My intention is that I have a safe travel from my home to work. I'm going to drive and arrive safely. That I have a safe travel. All my fellow brothers and sisters around me are traveling safely. From the moment I step into my place of work, I have more energy than when I left my house. And my initial impression that I delivered to my fellow brothers and sisters is a great initial impression. I'm going to deliver a great initial impression to every one of my fellow brothers and sisters. I want it and I expect it. I want it and expect it. I want it and I expect it. I bless and I thank you. I bless and I thank you. I bless and I thank you. Maya Angelou was the old time. She would remind everybody you have to ask. So sometimes our fellow brothers and sisters, I don't have so much confidence. Whatever I can guarantee all of your listeners. You have access to all knowledge and all power within you. [00:19:49] Speaker B: You know, and I just want to simplify that down really and hit the highlights. You start with gratitude. When I open my eyes, do the same thing. My morning routine is I wake up, I'm grateful that I'm on this side of the ground. That is my first gratitude because it's a gift. Every day is a gift. And I'm alive and I draw breath. So I start with gratitude. And I always set my attention and I want to just speak to like peak performers do this athletes. We train them in mental rehearsal. We have them imagine the Perfect ending or the perfect result of their day. It's the same thing. It's setting the intention to win the game, to have that pr for us, it might be setting the intention to get the kids to school on time and food in their bellies, whatever that is. If we set that intention and then what we do once it happens, we reinforce that positive loop. And so it just becomes a habitual practice. And so you're so eloquent. It's so amazing. And you have a book for everyone. I know we're running right, running slow towards the end of our time, but Poppy has all of this in a book and so if you'll share that, he has it both in English and in Spanish as well. Manifest anything. I have read it. It truly is very powerful because it happens. It's hard for us to wrap our head around sometimes things that are different. But ask yourself, if I knew how to get to the next level already, I'd already be there. This is just looking at something a little differently and trying something a little different. And the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. You have to do something a little different. And our suggestion is start with your morning routine. Your offense is starting with an intention, starting with gratitude, and then slowly but surely adding to that. And on defense, anything negative. Nope, I'm not doing that. Sweet. Switch it to the positive that you want to attract. [00:21:39] Speaker C: Yeah, cancel and reject it. [00:21:41] Speaker B: Please share how everyone can reach out to you and how they can get access to this. [00:21:45] Speaker C: Sure. The best way to reach out would be my website, pappimindsetcoach.com so just Pappy P A P I mindsetcoach.com and I have a free ebook. So if you go, you can actually get my book for free. Manifest anything you can imagine. And also I have it in Spanish. It's free in Spanish as well. I also have. If some of the listeners would like to start to get on this, working on improving their daily ritual. I have a seven day free manifesting challenge. So for seven days I have a 28 day online course. But the first seven days are free and they can try it out. Doesn't cost anything. You just go and put your email, your name and email address in and you can get that first seven days. But I think even that first seven days, in addition to the book that's free for all of your audience listeners, this is all free. Everything we're talking about can really help to dislodge that, to really make a big Change their life for them to start moving forward. [00:22:34] Speaker B: Absolutely. I am so appreciative for you coming here, sharing your wisdom, sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience with everyone and for offering just, just that first step up. Because that's all it takes. It's that one step. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Obviously, it's that one step. What is that one step for you? Thank you for being here. [00:22:53] Speaker C: Well, thank you so much for having me. Thank you. [00:22:55] Speaker B: And you, yes, you, you have an action step. Go pick up Poppy's book. It's really great. And start your day the right way. I challenge you to, first thing tomorrow morning, wake up, take a breath and be grateful. Doesn't matter what you're grateful for some days. Mine's just that I'm not below ground, to be honest. But when you're in gratitude, that gives you that positive mental attitude. Set your intention for the day and then at the end of the day, notice that the intention you set was actually met and use that to start to fuel that positive progress forward. We will be right back after these important messages. [00:24:03] Speaker A: Welcome back to Vital Signs. If you're just tuning in, you're going to want to go to NowMedia TV, click on shows, go to Vital Signs and catch the first half of today's show. It has been epic, but now we're going to switch gears. You may have been told your dreams determine your destiny, but what if you could rewrite the story? Today we're going to explore how your choices shape your genetic expression. I am here with Deborah Kristol, a healthcare visionary, entrepreneur and business strategist who's helping people shift from disease management to prevention and vitality. As the founder and CEO of Epigenetic Scan, she delivers cutting edge NIH backed wellness technology to improve global health outcomes. Welcome to the show, Deborah. [00:24:44] Speaker D: Thank you. So happy to be here, Deborah. [00:24:48] Speaker A: We're going to dive in. Many people believe their DNA locks in their fate, especially with regards to their health, aging and all of the other aspects. Can you explain how epigenetics challenges that belief? [00:25:02] Speaker D: Yeah, absolutely. So it is something that we have come to understand and believe that it's because of our genetics or the way that we know our family, but it's also in our choice, it's our lifestyle. And what I wanted to talk about, you know, was the carotenoids and how that is so important in terms of your epigenetics. And that is carotenoids are natural pigments found in fruits and veggies and what they do is they give plants their colors like the red, orange, yellow and the dark green colors. So most people don't realize how essential these nutrients are and how they play a huge role in their epigenetics as well as in preventative health and long term vitality. [00:26:04] Speaker A: And so, you know, what I'm hearing, and correct me if I'm wrong, is Eat the Rainbow has science back and it will help us with how, how we can impact our presentation. Is. Is that what I'm hearing? [00:26:19] Speaker D: Absolutely, yes. It's all about prevention. And we know that diet and lifestyle is the number one cause of preventable disease. So why is that? And it's because, you know, we know to eat more fruits and veggies, right? We know to eat the rainbow, but are we doing it, you know, on a daily basis? So what carotenoids do is they help neutralize those free radicals, much like lightning rods put protect buildings and it prevents that cellular damage that leads to chronic disease, so an oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. So for example, if you've ever seen an apple and you, you know, cut it in, you know, in half, right, Then what happens to that apple is it looks good on the outside, but eventually if you leave it open, it turns brown and nasty. And unfortunately, that's how people do live their lives, because that natural process is called oxidation. And as oxygen interacts with cells, for example, with that apple, when you put lemon juice on it, which is an antioxidant, you know, it helps neutralize it back. So if we can just consume more antioxidant based foods, specifically carotenoids, because what it does is it will help prevent that DNA damage that happens to our epigenetics. [00:28:10] Speaker A: And so as we look at this and we think about this practically for all of our viewers, what are those food foods like, Give me some examples of real heavy hitters on the antioxidant side of things that can help with this preventative process. Because I know they're going to ask. [00:28:26] Speaker D: Yes, absolutely. And it's so funny having a background in nutrition and exercise physiology. I honestly wasn't doing this for so many years of my life because I thought I was just doing the basics. And sometimes, you know, unless you can measure it, it's really hard to be able to manage it. So you want to really focus on deep colored fruits and veggies like carrots, kale, spinach, blueberries, pumpkin seed as well. And when you're taking something that is carotenoid based, it's important that you mix it with something that's fat soluble, because that means that your body's to be able to absorb it better when eaten with a source of healthy fat like olive oil or avocado or nuts. And a lot of people think that they're eating healthy. They might be drinking smoothies or taking vitamins and eating more greens. But the real question is, is your body actually absorbing it? [00:29:33] Speaker A: Yeah. Bioavailability has been a big topic of conversation. And I'm going to ask you the next question because people are listening and I promise you, they're thinking this. They're like, yeah, that's great. I don't eat anything green. I don't eat vegetables. Can I just take a supplement? Trust. I know, I get the feedback. So what would you say to the people who are looking at supplementation as opposed to eating the actual foods? [00:29:59] Speaker D: Absolutely. So now more than ever, especially with the food that it is the way today and the soil depletion, we need to bridge the gap between what you eat and what your body actually absorbs and uses. And we're trying to stay healthy and we're spending tens of billions of dollars and we need some better direction. So instead of going to the pharmacy, you're going down and walking down the aisles and getting dizzy. You know, how do you know what to take? How do you know if it's working? And if you're a health care provider, how do you recommend them a supplement? So that's why we measure things, whether it's blood pressure to see if the medication is working, and then we retest to see the outcomes and we monitor. So we do have supplements that I recommend because they're guaranteed to increase somebody's score on this technology, which is epigenetic technology, it's called the biophotonic scanner, and it addresses the number one cause of preventable disease by measuring risk factors for, you know, nutrition and lifestyle risk factors. And it does it in 30 seconds, no blood draw. So. And it's backed by the National Institute of Health and we have over 120 peer reviewed studies on it. So I would start with measurement to see if you're actually absorbing what you are doing, whether it's nutrition and supplements. But the National Institute of Health has gone so far to say that we need to eat 9 to 12 servings of fruits and veggies a day. I know I don't do that. 95% of people on this planet are not going to do that to get what they need on a daily basis. So, yes, you need to supplement and take Something to help you improve those results. And it's a very unregulated industry. So being mindful of that as well. And our supplements are in the physician's desk reference, and they're guaranteed to increase somebody's antioxidant protection and reduce inflammation in the body or they get their money back if their score doesn't go up. So we have a monopoly on both sides, both the test as well as the solution. And then there's a revenue stream for that, for physicians. [00:32:33] Speaker A: You know, I really like the. What gets measured, gets managed. It's like that in everything. But I really like that it's test and then know what your deficit is, and then supplement according to the test and then measure to see if your supplement is working. It's the missing link in a lot of our. We're trying to do the right thing. We're hearing all this data, we're gonna go get XYZ supplement, we're just gonna take it. But if we test before, we know exactly what we need to supplement, and then if we measure it on the backside of it, we know exactly whether we're meeting that mark and we're actually achieving what we're trying to do. So I really like that message. Thank you for sharing that. And we're about to have to break for commercial. But before we do, how can people reach out to you if they'd like to learn more about this? Because there's a lot of disinformation out there and you've studied this, you come from that background. So how can people reach out to you so they can learn exactly what epigenetics is and how changing our lifestyle can impact our prevention and even management of disease process? [00:33:37] Speaker D: Absolutely, yes. I would love for you to reach out to me. I'm happy to help and have a consult with you. You can go to my [email protected] and also you can call me at 941-720-4408. And I looking forward to hearing from you because this is so important. It's changed my life, it's changed my health, it's given me a whole new life and a whole new path of getting off medications and helping even my children, who are both. I measure with this technology. They're 2 and 4, so it starts young. And we need to protect everybody because there's an epidemic of metabolic disease happening in the world. [00:34:26] Speaker A: Absolutely. And on that note, we are going to take a brief break, but we'll be right back after these important messages. Welcome back to Vital Signs. I am here talking all things epigenetics, and we're going to dive into the future of healthcare today, taking health into your own hands. We all want to manage our greatest asset, our health. Imagine a future where your doctor doesn't guess because your body already told them what it needs. That future is now. I am here. We have started that conversation with Deborah, Crystal. Debra, what are the most exciting breakthroughs in epigenetics right now? And how are they changing patient care and prevention? [00:35:37] Speaker D: Great question. Absolutely. So we now have technology, right? We have biomarkers, we have ways to measure and we have ways to track things, because if you can't measure it, you really can't manage it, and you're just guessing. And when it comes to diet, diet is the number one cause of preventable disease, and we are doing a terrible job in healthcare addressing it. So most people don't think about it until it's too late. You know, that's kind of the mindset of they wait until something happens and it's reactive. Health care today is broken. It's a disease management system. It's reactive. And the thing is, we want to catch imbalance early and prevent illness before it starts. So when you know better, you do better. And instead of waiting for symptoms to appear, you got it, you want to take it seriously. And prevention is the new prescription. And if we can learn, you know, to listen to the early signs that our body is sometimes communicating to us at the cellular level, then we can radically change our outcomes. But sometimes you can't always feel things coming on. That's why prevention is so important, because we're living in a world where stress, processed foods, environmental toxins, there's lack of movement, and overstimulation is the norm. So three out of five people in our country right now are dying from metabolic disease, things like heart disease and stroke and diabetes and cancer. And it doesn't have to be that way, because now we have a technology that is going to be. It's disruptive. It's going to put this whole industry on a whole new level and really help people understand what is going on at a cellular level and understand if their body is protected, you know, against disease. So it's a very exciting time to be involved in this space and where it's going. [00:38:02] Speaker A: Absolutely. And you described it. We're living in the perfect storm of lifestyle disease. It's the perfect storm. We're moving less. We're eating processed foods that don't have the nutrition we need. We're not sleeping, we're plugged in 24 7. So we can't regulate hardly anything and we just have so many things bombarding us. And so you made a point. We need to recognize this early and we need to be on prevention. I heard something a couple days ago someone was sharing with me. You know, what you do in your 20s creates your 40 year old body. What you do in your 30s, create your 60 year old body. And so it's really true if we want to make sure that we have health, Spanish and longevity and be able to live our best life with the greatest asset of ours, which is our health. So as you talk about this proactive approach instead of reactive and you talk about these amazing technologies that are available, what can everyday people watching here do to stay informed and take advantage of some of these innovations? Because quite frankly, if you're not watching this show right now, you might not have heard about this already. So what can everyday people, the people watching do so they know that they're staying on top of things that they're doing, the early detection and prevention things that they need to be doing at any stage in life? [00:39:24] Speaker D: Yeah, absolutely. And it's so important to when you know better, as I mentioned, you're going to, you're going to do better. And once I learned about this technology and was able to measure myself with it, you know, six and a half years ago and saw that my score, score was equivalent to somebody that smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, and I was training for the Boston Marathon, I wasn't smoking, you know, taking supplements, thinking that I'm healthy, I was shocked. And so I went ahead and I took that seriously because I understood what this score meant as an overall, you know, predictor for all cause, morbidity and mortality, as well as for your lifespan, it's correlated with how long you're going to live. According to Dr. Richard Cutler, who's a former director of the National Cancer Institute, that's what he quotes, that the amount of antioxidants in your body is proportionate to your lifespan. I was sitting on a quarter tank of gas and in our car, we know when that red light goes off to go get it checked, we're going to do something about it. But when it's our bodies, sometimes it's different. You know, we're like, oh, I'm just tired and fatigued or I'm getting old, like, things like that. We ignore it. So when I saw that, it really, you know, helped me say, all right, I'm going to do it something different. And I went on some supplements and my score continued to rise. It's now higher than Dr. Oz's. He had our technology on his show years ago. And most people don't know about this technology. They don't know it exists. And I've had two children on this journey, you know, with using this technology. And I was told about a year prior to measuring myself for the first time that it was going to be very challenging for me to have a full term pregnancy because of miscarriage and things like that. But when my score got into the 60,000 on this technology, I got pregnant immediately. And I have two little miracles. So it first starts with being able to measure it, being able to know where you're at as a starting point, and then taking those daily habits. You know, of course, exercise, like move your body regularly, even 30 minutes a day has a profound effect on energy and inflammation. Sleep, like, you gotta get that sleep in your body. It heals at night. And you want to eat those antioxidant rich foods, those colorful fruits and veggies. If you smoke, quit smoking. You know, do your best. I know it's a hard thing to do, but it really does destroy your cellular health and it accelerates that oxidative damage to the body. Use sunscreen, reduce blue light exposure, prioritize your mental health as well because that will impact your epigenetics, chronic stress, it raises cortisol, which depletes antioxidants, and it weakens your immunity. And maintain that healthy weight because that lowers inflammation and it supports energy production. And as I mentioned, supplement wisely. And if you have questions on that or want to know what your score is, you can absolutely reach out to me. And if I'm not in your area, we have these globally, we're in over 50 countries throughout the world. So if you want to know what your score is. Absolutely. And if I'm not local, I'll find somebody that is. Because it is so important that we know what we're putting in our bodies. And we're not playing chemical lab with our bodies, because whatever gets measured gets improved. And we're living in a time where, where technology, science and personal empowerment can really come together. We do not have to wait for disease. You don't have to wait to be tired, sick or broken down to, you know, live that fulfilled, abundant life of vitality and getting out of the system of oppressive medicine and into the system of disease prevention and nutrition. And so start now, small shifts, simple habits, and make a decision. It starts with that. Make that decision to take Your health, seriously, because this is our body. This is what we got. And I know I want to be around for a while, especially as a mom, and to share the good news about this technology and where it's going. So it starts by knowing your score, and I promise your future self will thank you. [00:44:08] Speaker A: Absolutely. And, you know, the greatest asset we have is our health after all. I really wanted to kind of summarize a few of the things you said, because it was really heavy hitting and I love that you said start with something. So sleep. It's things that we've heard on the show, folks. Like, if you're listening, you have an expert here sharing some of the easiest ways that we can take control of our health and sort of set our path. It's getting that sleep in so our body can heal. It's easy eating the rainbow, getting our nutrition in so that we're fueling our output. Garbage in equals garbage out. And we've heard that a lot. But are we actually taking heat and doing it? It's moving our body even 30 minutes a day. So what you heard, she gave you a list of habits. Pick one habit. That's your challenge today. Pick one habit. Doesn't matter which one it is, but pick one. And today's the day that you start or up level that habit and start viewing your body as a data source, Track, test, personalize, utilize the professionals available to you and get on this life prevention, this health prevention course, because that's how we live our best life. So, Deborah, how can people reach out to you to learn more about the technology, to see where they stand in their health score? How can they reach out? [00:45:26] Speaker D: Yeah, I would love for you to reach out to me. And again, if I'm not in your area, that's totally fine. I will look for somebody that is to help you on this path. You can find more information about this technology as well as all my contact [email protected] and you can also call me or text me. My phone number is 941 720-4408. And I am happy to help. This is my mission. This is what I love. I love what I do, and I love the impact that we're making in health care as well as helping patient outcomes and really shifting this system from disease to prevention. [00:46:20] Speaker A: That's fantastic. I really appreciate that. So if you're watching this, you're not the prisoner of your genes. You're the editor. Epigenetics gives us the tools to write a better, stronger, healthier future. That future starts today with one choice, one habit, and of course, one insight at a time. So if you've watched this, your action step is to know where you are, get tested, reach out to Debra, find where you are on that health journey and then take an action because that's the only way that we move forward toward that healthier life. Deborah, thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate your expertise. Thank you for joining us today. [00:46:57] Speaker D: Thank you so much. Jennifer, thank you. Great to be here. Have a great rest of your day. Thanks. [00:47:03] Speaker A: And you, yes, you. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, including this show. But the good news is we will be here same time, same, same station next week. So until then, choose that one tool, that one habit that is going to help you build your stronger, healthier future. And until then, we'll have an amazing rest of your day. See you soon. [00:47:27] Speaker C: This has been a NOW Media Network's feature presentation. [00:47:30] Speaker D: All rights reserved.
